      To impart higher education by an Institution (H E I) in local society or its surroundings, the Library plays a major role towards the academic enrichment of the college or institution so the post of permanent Librarian is also the most important issue. Accordingly, the Lakhimpur Kendriya Mahavidyalaya has a spacious and well furnished up-to-date Library with a full-fledged Librarian and partially digitized facilities named Mohan Chandra Roy Library Lakhimpur Kendriya Mahavidyalaya showered with honor by the College fraternity to Late Mohan Chandra Roy, a prominent Educationist and former Principal (Honorary)  of this college during his livelihood.

The library is equipped with more than 13000 books, 15 journals and periodicals. E-journals and E-Books are also available. The library also has a stock of large number of reference books to ensure & enrich up-to-date knowledge in different academic fields for the students & teachers. The library also provides reprography (Xerox) facilities.

GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS OF THE LIBRARY:

1. Opening Hours: WEEKDAYS - 9.30 A.M. to 4.00 p.m. (From Monday to Saturday)

2. Issue Time: WEEK DAYS 11.00 A.M. to 2.00 P.M.

3. The library cardholder is responsible for any loss or damage of books borrowed.

4. A general student can avail of one library card at a time.

5. An honors student can avail of two library cards.

6. One book is issued for 15 days against one library card.

7. The loss of a library card must be reported immediately to the librarian. A duplicate card would be issued on payment of Rs.20/- only.

N.B. - An additional Library Card will be provided to each of the female students residing in the Girls' Hostel of the college.
